More Groundwork & Troubleshooting

The purpose of groundwork for Warwick, as you would know if you have seen the videos in previous sections is to create a horse that can be presented with a situation and think about it’s reaction to it before responding. For Warwick, groundwork is not a destination, it is a tool in the horse training toolbox. In the videos in this section, you can learn more advanced groundwork skills, like backing on the ground, leading by a hind foot, laying a horse down, mounting from the fence and preparing them to be ridden. At any time, revisit your groundwork basics if something is not progressing or if there are problems arising.
